i thought i would try one of the chef's specials as you might expect that at least that would be cooked well. I chose the one marked hot from the 4 available and checked with the waiter that it was indeed just that.
What arrived was some bits of pre-cooked chicken overlaid with a sweet rather sickly red sauce with no chilli flavour at all nor of anything else. The vegatable bhaji was not much better . A sweet mush of over-cooked potatoes and peas.
So if you like the Tate & Lyle school of Indian cooking this place is for you ; else give it a wide berth. There has to be better in Chester.
