“Fabulous stay”

We recently stayed at this hotel it was lovely in every way.The room was standard double but really nice and the bathroom was very modern with fluffy towels and toiletries provided. We had a balcony partly overlooking Chester racecourse. We also dined at the Micheal Caines restaurant which was amazing , a bit expensive but worth every penny! In all a lovely experience!

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking racecourse, we overlooked the road and the edge of the racecourse

We stayed at Abode for a night.and we found it to be very pleasant. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the staff on the reception very helpful and friendly. We chose to have our breakfast there at an additional £11.50 a head. Whilst it was very nice I was disappointed that no cereal or fruit was included.Seemingly you can have either the full Engish or a continental breakfast but not a combination. I thought this was a bit expensive as well as the car park charge of £10, All things considered we still enjoyed our stay.

Very professional, friendly staff. Immaculate spacious family room, children loved the room. Very well equipped with everything you need. Excellent wi fi connection and coverage. Although room was overlooking a busy road we had a very quiet night. Car park very convenient. Extremely good value for money.

Me and my missus stayed here last year for a short getaway break at the weekend.

This hotel was very clean and modern, our room had views facing the front roundabout and a little bit of what looked like chester racecourse, if your coming for the horse racing its a fantastic pick, very close within walking distance.

The rooms were very spacious and the bed was huge and comfortable, Strong shower aswell which is always a plus the night after a few drinks.

We drank and had lunch in the hotel's bar and the price for burger and fancy chips wasnt that steep atall.

It is within walking distance to the shops in chester, or in my case a nice "Pub strowl" away.

Would re-visit - speedy checkout too in the morning.

We stayed at Abode for a nice weekend break away and stayed for one night!
We were fortunate to get a car parking space, and although it was £10 per night, it meant we could park up the car and forget about it during our stay.
The hotel was really nice - modern, clean etc. We stayed in a 'desirable' room on the 4th floor. The room was large and had a great shower!
We visited the champagne lounge on the evening which had a nice atmosphere and began our night well!
My only criticism of the hotel was that the room was noisy. We slept quite badly due to this as we could hear other guests returning from their night in the early hours, occasional running/draining water from somewhere near by, a banging noise which could have been the lift (though we couldn't decide) and banging from a breakfast being delivered to a room near by early in the morning. It was frustrating, especially after returning to the room early so we could have a good nights rest, ready for our plans the following day.
Breakfast in the restaurant was nice, although expensive. It did seem a little bit expensive to spend the same amount on continental breakfast as a cooked?! (Literally a bowl of cereal and a croissant)
We would def come to have a drink at the hotel again, but not sure about staying for the price we payed?

We stayed at Abode whilst visiting the Chester food and drink festival at the racecourse.
We had a lovely quiet room, fab service by the staff, so in-obtrusive and relaxed, dinner in the MC cafe bar which was delicious and to top it all a wonderfully cooked and served breakfast. We were on the £99.00 package offer, what a deal. Thanks to Christophe and the team, well worth staying at this lovely hotel.

We stayed at the Abode Chester for our 2nd anniversary, and had a two night stay.
On arrival we were greeted at reception, and advised that we had been upgraded. (My sister had called up and upgraded the room.)

We were staying in the Fabolous rooms, on the 6th floor, and we stayed in Sea Pigeon. (There are only 2 other rooms on this floor)

On arrival into the room, we were amazed. We had a view out over the top of the hotel, but facing out towards Chester Racecourse. We could see the winners circle, and parts of the track,. The racecourse is only on the other side of a road. The whole one side of the room, was window, so the view was vast.

The room was fantastic, the bed was massive, with 3 pillows side by side.
The bathroom had a roll top bath, and a walk in shower.
There was also a sitting room,

For entertainment there was a TV and Ipod dock.

A fantastically clean, modern, and stylish room, which certainly was greatly recieved.

We never ate in the restaurant of the hotel (a personal rule), but we know people who have eaten at the Michael Caines restaurant elsewhere and they raved about how good the food is there.

Although the hotel was expensive, as an anniversary treat, it was worth it, especially with the upgrade courtesy of my sister.

Location wise, it is situated slightly out of the town centre, but if your going to the racecourse, there isnt a better location.
It was only a short 5-10 minute walk into town, for the shops, bars and resturants.

Room Tip: If you can, upgrade to the fabulous rooms.
