booked a package deal at 159 pounds for one night including parking, breakfast and 2 cousre evening meal (which we chose to take as lunch the next day,
when we arrived the staff were very professional and we had been given upgrade to 6th floor Ormonde suite which turned out to be a fantastic room with balcony and great views over Chester
these rooms have huge bathrooms and showers and small seating area.
the hotel charge £10 for 24 hr parking and is within 10 minute walk to the main shopping streets
breakfast is on the 5th floor in Micheal Caines fine dining room
choice is whatever you like and very good quality
the hotel is part of a horseshoe shaped office complex overlooking the racetrack and could feel weird as the rest of the complex are offices but this is similar to most new build hotels in busy cities and the plus point is the area is very quiet at night.
i would encourage a package stay as this offer was the same cost as a normal rack rate but with breakfast and dinner included.

all in all compared to the Grosvenor (at 280 ave per night) it was far superior albeit a short walk to the shops.
would happily recommend this to anyone staying in Chester,

Room Tip: stayed in the Ormonde suite on 6th floor which has partial views of the racetrack,if it was a normal...

Stayed as a special occasion with my GF for my birthday. Paid £140 for a luxury room and the staff were good enough to upgrade us to a suite (thanks a lot!).

Brilliant room. Massive. Clean. State of the art tech with free wifi. Really impressed. Had a cast iron bath, wet room, and balcony with furniture on. Unbelievable. Views of te racecourse, Chester castle and the city. Staff were great too.

It's a 1 minute walk into Chester from here, parking isn't as bad as people make out but will cost you a tenner.

I actually cannot fault the place at all, would love to come back for a few days. Well done :)

Chester is a great shopping high street which is somewhat covered (good for those rain days). This relatively new very modern hotel is only a few blocks away from main shops. Rooms are outstanding and bathrooms extreme contemporary (I loved it). Best thing is the restaurant, a Michael Caine menu. Excellent Grazing menu, highly recommended. Even for non-vegetarians ask for the vegetarian menu (there isn't one, the chef is please to write one for you on the spot). As per other reviewers I agree the staff at the front desk could do with a "warm personality" boost (I would then give it a 5 rating), but no other issues at all. Perhaps best food possible, good wine list including Billecart-Salmon Rose (the one Fortnum & Mason's uses)

Having stayed in 3 of the hotels graded rooms (desirable, enviable & fabulous) I can honestly say this hotel is exemplary. The staff are courteous, professional & simply can't do enough for you. Any room you choose to use will offer stunning decor, comfort & warmth. We found fabulous on 6th was by far the best given its second to none amenities & sheer size.

The food is excellent whether you choose MC Bar & grill or the exquisite Michael caines your in for a treat. If you select the grill I implore you to try the braised pork it's amazing.

The main reason we return is the staff. Andrew on reception needs a mention as he is an assett to the company & also Cristophe the general manager is a dedicated wonderful man who will alleviate any issue in a professional generous way that probably indicate his superior position within the company.

Any stay here will be enjoyable rewarding & memorable. Best hotel in Chester by far

basic double room cost me £122.00 for one night, then £10.00 to park then £15.00 each for breakfast the room was tiny the view was of open offices opposite which form part of hotel very weird every little noise on the corridors could be heard especially voices into the early hours .the ensuite was designed for show not to be practical the shower just sprays water all over the floor no matter how low you have it . A premiere inn or travel lodge are a much better choice better rooms ,better beds, better ensuite ,better value for money better allround .ABODE 3 out of 10 premiere inn 10 out of 10 an expensive mistake wont stay here again

Room Tip: if your going to spend a lot of money stay in a better hotel if your sensible stay in a premiere inn

From the moment we were warmly welcomed by a smiling receptionist we knew we'd found a gem. Ultra modern building, beautifully furnished with great bathroom.
Dinner in the Cafe Bar was excellent.... Steaks/burgers were first class.
Breakfast in the stunning 5th floor restaurant was another joy ..... beautiful breads and croissants and full English cooked to order.

Stayed at this hotel last night and I had the best sleep! Great comfy beds, big room! Location is fantastic if you want to go into Chester city centre - only 5 mins walk. Security parking available under hotel only £10 for 24 hours, great value for city parking and your car stays safe. Had a full cooked breakfast which was presented beautifully and tasted great, also had a window seat so had a fantastic view from 5th floor!
