Description: Pacino's was established in 1986 and has built up a reputation with the local people and visitors alike for the finest cuisine and affordable wine list that can be found anywhere in the city of Chester. Since its launch the restaurant has tippled in size, now with over 80 covers. Pacino's has however maintained its high levels of quality and service. Pacino's offers an intimate atmosphere and a friendly personal service that can only be found in a family run business. Perhaps that's why we are often referred to as "Chester's Hidden Gem". Gluten free available on request.

“Always a pleasure eating here”

This is a hidden treasure. If You came across Pacino's you probably wouldn't go inside as it's not in the best location, but you would definately return once youv'e been inside. We have visited a number of times over a number of years and it's always a pleasure eating here, great choice on the menu, all freshly cooked to perfection. Great Fish and steaks, sardines for starters are delicious. Great service and always friendly and relaxed. Can't ever fault at all. highly recommended

“Always excellent”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We visited with friends on the same night as the opening ceremony of the Olympics, so the restaurant emptied quite early. That was no reflection on the standard of food, which was, as always, excellent. Can recommend the smoked salmon and prawn cornets, veal and steaks. Sadly, no room for puds.
Do not be put off by the location and external appearance. Inside the restaurant is very pleasant and the staff are helpful and friendly and saved us from making a mistake with a second bottle of wine.

We visited Pacino's back in May for a birthday meal, (we have been before many times). The restaurant was very busy as it was a Saturday night, so we had to wait a couple of minutes for our table to be ready, we sat in the bar area while we waited for a couple of other guests. When our table was ready we were taken their by the owner of restaurant (Greg). Our waitress came and introduced herself, told us about all the specials (yum!) and gave us about ten minutes before returning to see if we were all ready. As we had a couple of vegitarians etc in group they were very accommodating with tweaking the dishes as needed - shows all the food is freshly prepared in the kitchen.
When the food arrived it was hot and tasty! The puddings were delicious!! As we finished our meals about 10pm, and there was no one waiting for our table, we werent rushed, so we all sat chatting and having coffee until about 11pm.
I would reccommend this restaurant to anyone who wants true Italian food, not 'tourist italian'.
They offer early diner menus, set menus (with about 4 choices per course), pizzas, and often there are vouchers on onionring.co.uk too. Will be visiting again soon! Big hi-5 to Greg, Debbie, Yvonne and Co!!

“I won't leave it so long next time ...”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

Pacino's is not in a 'posher' part of Chester or the city centre but it is sought out as it is known for excellent food and well worth the detour.
Although I have eaten at Pacino's on a number of occasions over the past 25/26 years it must be about 4 years since I was last there and the premises have been extended, for a second time.
I wasn't disappointed and will make sure it isn't 4 years before I go back again!
We were a group of 4 (women) on a 'catch up night' with a lot to catch up on so talked for a while before we were ready to order. At no time were we rushed - but we weren't forgotten either.
There is a good variety on the menu and although we would recommend the pasta dishes this time we all went for chicken, duck and fish for the main courses. All were highly rated and my chicken in a port sauce was excellent and couldn't be faulted. As a special 'treat' I also had the chips which were served with a generous portion of mushrooms. If the chips weren't 'home made' they were certainly the next best thing - dry, crisp and golden - spot on.
The deserts are always good and I was lucky enough to get the last portion of a warm almond tart - definately a good choice.
They do an 'early bird' menu and I believe this is well supported by local people in Newtown
as well as peole wanting to go on elsewhere after an early meal. It is a great place for groups but if you are a couple then it seems that they try to seat you away from the noisy tables.
The service was excellent, we were never rushed but we knew that the waitress was there when and if we needed her. Incidentally, she has been there for a number of years and was, as usual her attentive and very pleasant self. One day I really will ask her name!
So, Pacino's - many thanks for an excellent meal and we will return in under 4 years!

“Wow! What a find!”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Don't be put off by the exterior or slight distance out of town. This restaurant serves scrumptious italian food. The service and welcome were fantastic. The sardines & veal saltimbocca were to die for. I complimented staff on the sardines by saying they were the best I had had since Portugal.
Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
