Description: Tropeiro Chester Brazilian Restaurant, is situated right in the centre of city and is a short walk from the stunning Chester Cathedral and the shops on Bridge Street. It is a 5 minute walk from the race course, this is an ideal destination for shoppers, race goers and visitors to Chester. At Tropeiro Chester you will always be treated as a friend. Here you can enjoy the very sociable and relaxing Brazilian way of cooking and dining experience. Our restaurant is a great venue for parties, families and intimate meals with its quirky interior and cosy feel this grade two listed building comes alive with the atmosphere of brazil. Our selection of 12 cuts of delectable fire roasted meats is a heavenly treat. All the meats are prepared in the best "Rodizio" tradition, where the particularities of each meat are respected from the seasoning to the cooking time so as to capture their individual flavours perfectly. The skewers are then brought to your table, sliced and served by the gaucho waiters.Bom apetite!

mmm recommend this place for a special occasion as its quite pricey especially when you add on drinks. That said we felt it was definitely worth. We were filled to the maximum and had to ask them to stop bringing food (red card!) which I didn't think we would do. Absolutely beautiful and cant wait to go back :)

The salad/buffet was lovely and the meat simply delicious. Wish we could afford to go more often. Think our bill for the 2 of us was about £60.

Difficult for me to review. On the plus side there was a good atmosphere, the lunch menu was very good value and the staff were friendly.

However as a frequent visitor to Brazil I have to make the following comments.

There was no farofa. Without farofa you can't call yourself a Brazilain restaurant! It's vital. The sausages were English not Brazilian style. There was only 1 Brazilian beer on the menu. Mexican,German and Italian beers are not Brazilian beer!!! To much pork - Brazilians like beef!!!
Otherwise a nice restaurant.

I would highly recommend this or a lunch venue. The staff were very friendly, and the décor inside the restaurant was very nice. There was a large selection of salad & side dishes to choose from, including stews and salads. The lunch menu is 5 cuts of meat, which you were constantly being offered. Drinks were a little expensive, but the lunch was only £10.99 each, which I thought was good value as you could eat as much as you liked. Evening meals jump up to £20+ so I would have to think twice about going for an evening meal, but lunch is very good value.

Had to wait half hour for a table which was fine if you haven't reserved...been from churrasco country perhaps expectations were high . Visited one in Manchester year's back and was good( it's closed now I believe) where to start ... Ok drinks were served promptly . Went to Salad bar where food didn't look appetising however famous Brazilian feijoada was ok ... However some famous dishes such as farofa( breadcrumb seasoned mixture) and vinaigrette( tomato, onion cucumber small diced ) were not available. Into to the meat skewers.... Burnt or raw ... Tasteless . Manage to have half sausage and half piece of chicken... Waiter clearly was busy and his poor knowledge of cuts made whole experience dull...Blond attentive manager was apologetic and concerned with our comments. To end bill was reduced and ended up taking a burger from a take away home... Do no think I will ever come back !!!!

Stoped here to eat as it looked OK. Staff where very friendly and welcoming. The side dishes where fanatsic and plenty to choose from. We have stopped for lunch so only 5 cuts of meet on offer but all tasted good- if the beef was a little tough! There was more than enough to eat and we would definalty go back again. Really good value for money.
