We ate here after reading reviews on TA, stopping for the full English breakfast and then again later in the day for our evening meal.
Both meals were of a very good quality, I can particularly recommend the chicken and pheasant terrine, and the mushroom lasagne. My wife had the cullen skink which looked fabulous. The house red is billed as possibly the best house red in Chester. I could'nt possibly confirm that but would say that it is indeed very good.
As with most high end establishments, the portions were adequate but left you wanting more.
Visit, you will not be dissappointed.
