“First meal at a favourite beer house”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Having enjoyed their wide selection of beer on previous visits, we decided to have dinner on a recent visit. I had their beef and Old Wavertonian pie; delicious and full of beer gravy, it came with HUGE chips and a small pot of red cabbage. Only downside was, the gravy was gone before I'd finished my chips - a little extra would have been appreciated. My husband opted for the roast pork dinner, which was two big thick slices accompanied by cabbage, cauliflower, roast potatoes and tasty gravy. Both meals were excellent and good value for the price. Desserts looked good, but we'd no room left!

“Great Pub!!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

We visited this lovely pub for their food and ale, we were not disappointed, it was great. The place has a real buzz about it and if like me you like your ales it's got plenty to try. Their food was really nice, not expensive at all. I would recommend you give this place a go if you are ever in Chester. We will return! Friendly and helpful staff helps too, thanks!

“The beers are good..”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

The only good thing about this place is the beer.
Thought that The Brewary Tap was the place to go out for a good pub experience with a nice range of beers and tasty food. The beer was good, but the food was under average! Had the Braised beef and Old Wavertonian pie with red cabbage and fat chips. But it was nothing else than light brown gravy with poor beeg and oinion. No tast at all....
