“Good location and comfy bed”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

5 mins easy walk from the train station and on the way into the city centre (just over 5 mins) so a very convenient location. After a painfully slow check in as the systems were down, the room was typical Premier Inn. It was half term so there were a lot of children and some were unsupervised on the first night and being very noisy until 11pm, there was a slight hum from the bar below (I was on the first floor) and I could hear the traffic until about midnight (I was at the front of the building). I ate in the restaurant on the first night and the service was friendly and efficient - food average but served exactly as I asked. It was much quieter the next night (Friday ironically). Room cleaning was late in the day - after 3.30pm which surprised me. But saying all this - it was good value for money - you get what you pay for so I can't really complain.

Room Tip: Back of the building and on higher floors for a quieter room.

Stayed 2 nights late October. Room clean and tidy, rooms cleaned daily, staff friendly and polite.

Bar/restraunt area a bit small for the number of guests, could imagine if you came at a peak time there might be an issue.

Service at restraunt was excellent during breakfast but a bit slow and disorganised on an evening but this was a minor issue.

Location is 5 mins walk from center of Chester and 10mins walk from nearest car park if you are not lucky enough to get one of the few spaces available at the hotel which we were not. This can be a bit of an issue if you have little ones.

Generally a good hotel which is located in a perfect position for a short stay in Chester or a visit to the zoo.

We had a very good stay in the Chester City Centre Premier Inn. From the moment we entered the reception area we received excellent service. The receptionist was friendly, informative and helpful and this turned out to be the case from every member of staff we encountered. Our room was well appointed, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had decided to have breakfast in the hotel and were again very pleasantly surprised by the standard. all the components were very good and the coffee was excellent.the receptionist had warned us to get down to breakfast early as it can get busy - very good advice! The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre and it is possible to walk everywhere from this hotel which was the main reason we chose to stay here.
Premier in Chester should be very proud of their staff - we would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

All the usual high standards for Premier Inn. Very clean with friendly & helpful staff. HUGE breakfasts that set you up until evening, leaving plenty of time for sightseeing or shopping! will definately be back

we wanted a central city location whilst staying in chester for 2 nights-this we got. However the place is fit to bursting !!! Room was very small(we had asked and phoned twice for a top floor room-told this would be done-put us on the second floor instead-)asked to change told no chance.Chap on reception was a tad unfriendly. The main gripe is the constant banging of other rooms doors-it was every few seconds all night-drove me mad!!! premier inn management should stand in a corridor and listen-it would only take them a few minutes to get my point. Word of warning-i wouldn`t bother with breakfast- the queues in the morning were huge-the dining room is tiny for such a busy premier inn.theres a great weatherspoon just up the road that does a cracking breakfast.Wouldn`t stay again

Very handy, especially if you can get your car in the car park.
Didn't use the breakfast facility, which was a plus as there was quite a queue in the morning. Instead went to nearby Wetherspoons which was fine.
No issues and would use again, especially at the offer of £19 per night.

This is what you would expect from a Premier Inn. Good clean and basic with no frills. The staff ion reception and in the bar and restaurant were very good.

We got the impression from the website we booked through that there wasn't a car park so parked in the station car park just down the road but on arriving at the hotel they do have their own car park. Not a problem but be aware there is one available.
