We were in Chester to celebrate two family birthdays on Saturday Jan 25th. Our rellies, who live close to Chester, organised the event at the Teppanyaki Restaurant as they could recommend the humour and party atmosphere - and the food - at this City Road eatery by the canal.
It was certainly a lively, fun-filled evening for all 14 of us - spanning three generations.
The majority of the party chose from the set meal menu that included beautifully cooked sea bass, duck breast and steak as well as miso soup and a salad course. The grilled foods were accompanied by onion rings, courgette, potatoes and mixed egg and vegetable rice all fried in front of us on the stainless steel grill plate. The chefs knew how to make fun for the party including some "audience participation".
The restaurant is obviously very popular and was well decorated with Far Eastern artefacts.
An enjoyable and memorable evening.
