“Top notch food!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

I visited the Bear and Billet and Im so glad I did. Larry was exceptional behind the bar with great knowledge of the ales. I went with the rack of ribs and chunky chips which were both delicious! Katie and Rebecca were very cheerful and pleasant and the three made for a great visit! I would highly recommend this pub and can't wait to go again!

“Happy to return”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We visited on a Saturday afternoon while shopping in Chester so were just after a quick bite to eat. We ordered food, fish and chips and two burgers, and then order drinks from the bar. There are a number of draught ales and a draught cider; there is also a small, conventional pub wine list. There was a bit of a wait for our food but being a busy Saturday it was half expected. The food was good and plentiful and we struggled to clear our plates. There is a good atmosphere though the TV showing the football slightly dominated. There is a seating area upstairs which would have been quieter. We would be when next in Chester.
