We stayed here for one night for our anniversary and it was lovely. The room was a nice size with huge bed and beautiful bathroom with a huge rain shower. my only advice would be that if you are an 'older' couple looking for a quiet nights sleep this place maybe not for you as downstairs in the bar they have a DJ playing until around 2am which can be herd from the bedroom, this did not bother us as we planned to have a few drinks and join the busy bar downstairs anyway, once the music has stopped at 2 it was fine and quiet.
We didn’t have an evening meal (we went to Chez Jules in Chester which is a lovely French place) but we did have breakfast which was nice, local sausages and black pudding and fresh coffee.
All in all a really pleasant night and the staff were friendly and polite, ideal for a younger couple in there 20's and 30's for a nice treat. This is a trendy, boutique style place which is typical of Chester, I would say a tad to expensive for the room rate, £100 per night maybe not £145. Would go back. :)More
