Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Hoole Village. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings - including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Chester's favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

We have been going to the Toby Carvery on Christmas Eve for a meal for many years as a Christmas treat for the family to start the festive celebrations. But, unfortunately this year was very disappointing. The food was excellent as always, but the service was not up to their standard. We felt as if they couldn't be bothered to serve us and we seem to have to wait quite some time before we were served with our food we were also not told about the menu's as there was a two course and a three course, it seems everyone in the party has to have the same menu! We took the hint to leave as they turned the lights out and we were told that they were laying the tables ready for Christmas Day and that the bar would be closed in 10 minutes, this was just before 8.00p.m. This is something else we were not told when we booked the table as we have never experienced this on previous years. I think that maybe they shouldn't open Christmas Eve so that they can concentrate on Christmas Day. It's a shame, but, I think we will be going somewhere else next year and wouldn't recommend the Toby Carvery for Christmas Eve.

Both my wife and I are regulars at the carvery and they never let you down! Good value and wonderful food.

We went as a celebration and the atmosphere is just right, as regulars we have good banter and don't go anywhere else.

Good quality food, king size well worth it and a place we take all friends and family!

Keep up the good work

had not been here for about 3 years, it was always a favorite but i think we just wanted to try somewere else. Although it is very busy it is great value and food is of great standard and always hot. Leave enough room for a sweet as the deserts are fantastic value. 1 down side is that when busy you may have to eat in bar area

Went to the Toby at a very busy time on a Saturday evening. We only had to wait in the lovely lounge for about ten minutes, when our bleeper sounded and we were shown to our freshly laid table. We had the normal size portion and with a choice of four meats and a huge selection of excellent vegetables along with the biggest Yorkie Pud you have ever seen was more than enough ! Every type of gravy and accompanying sauces topped the plate off perfectly.
They do a "King size" --- a Russian shotputter would struggle to finish. The service was second to none with such a friendly waiter.
For the price we paid, it was cheaper than cooking at home plus no washing up to do !
Certainly revisit.
