“Brilliant Venue, Brilliant Staff”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

I love Red House Farm, it is just a nice venue to stop and have tea, coffee, cake or even a pitstop farm meal...

however its the events they put on that make it really good, at Halloween they do all sorts of attractions, treasure hunts, biscuit decorating, mineral stone digging as well as the trampolines and bouncy castles... they also have a great rock climbing trailer as well which is really good...

Johnny who runs the site is brilliant, he remembers everyone and is always on hand, he also does some really good kids parties as well which include tractor rides in the Barrel Train which all the kids love, even the adults can have a go!!

They have a brilliant farm shop as well, the food is all local and is just brilliant, there are a couple of little independent shops as well on the Farm, a small interior shop and a small toy shop...

but do bear in mind that this is a farm with some small attractions and great family events...

I would ignore all the other reviews about the staff and costs, its just ridiculous, the Maize maze is brilliant, but on in summer for obvious reasons, and the price is brilliant... you can easily make a day of it if you just chill out and let the kids do what they want...

BA HUMBUG to the other reviewers, go and let your kids enjoy it... and while they do, enjoy the cake and tea!!

“Super Funtastic!”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

All my children have had RHF parties which suit both boys and girls. The team here go the extra mile to make parties great fun for the kids. Loads to do regardless of season and prepared to do a variety of things to keep everyone happy. Fabulous tea shop for adults to take it easy whilst kids are entertained. Can't recommend it enough!

“A great family outing”
Reviewed January 25, 2012

I have just read the other reviews and all i can say is dont listen.
I have been going to redhouse farm with my children for about 7 years now . The staff are always friendly and helpful and happy to supervise your children whilst you shop or catch up with friends over coffeee in the tea rooms. During the summer there is so much do , there is the maize maze, sand pits, go karts and also lazer quest and the fantastic climbing walls, now my girls are getting a little older 9 and 7 they prefer the wall and laser quest. We go at least once a week during the holidays and always meet friends here. The food is great and they dont mind if you bring your own picnic. The shop has a great array from everyday veg to lovely fresh breads, quiches, olives and cheeses. I do go weekly to buy things from the shop

“AVOID AVOID AVOID”
Reviewed August 17, 2011

after reading the website we packed a picnic and travelled with our children to red house farm....what a dissappointing day out. we paid the £33+ admission fee to the two teenages on the gate...very dissinterested and abrupt staff! it took us 20 minutes to complete the VERY poor maze...very badly made with no thought...loads of trampled walkway shortcuts...such a dissappointment! yes there was a bouncy castle and inflatable slide..wow! haystack mountain consisted of 2 high straw bales pushed together...carts that were in dire need of repair and in very poor condition...a football field..a mini train that went round a small circle of a track.....and the "farm"...really should be reported to trades descriptions! 1 rabbit in a hutch in the middle of a concrete patio area and a few chickens. the tea room was nice ..the shop was very dissappointing and the young man serving was rude, ignorant and very disrespectful. the young staff need staff training as we were advised by one young memeber of staff at the maize pay desk NOT to pay for the gem hunt or lazer quest as they were "a waste of money" so we didnt. avoid at all cost...overpriced total waste of money. contacted owners to complain...VERY RUDE AND ABRUPT REPLY!

“an overpriced family day out........”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

A lovely settling, have been many times. Hence why should adults be charged to visit kids attractions?? Cost adults over 5 pound to watch kids play on activities. The maize maize wasnt established, so wasnt really a maize as such. Overpriced family day out.
