I suppose it is an avenue, of sorts, though most of the shops were empty/to let, on the right hand side (the 'Barclays' side we were told!) we found a coffee shop open when we arrived, and that was quaint, and a gift shop with a helpful lady serving, but not much else open, it was a Sunday and apparently the pubs are closed then but one can get a drink with a meal elsewhere!
And there is internet on the island, and NO tax, but no NHS nor pensions either.
Still, Sark is a small place and it was early season, but it has 2 banks!
