Always go here when we want a quick, roast evening meal as ambience good as are service levels. Carvery is always of an good standard but does suffer from food not appearing fresh and as hot as it could. One of the penalties of trying to keep food hot under lamps but nonetheless does not put us off going as standards are always consistent. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is a popular place.

I thought the old style "service" delivery reminiscent of 70's Russia had long disappeared - however it seems it has resurfaced here. Whilst what i thought were fairly simple questions as to whether we were able to eat outside, and a teaspoon for our daugher these were obviously not permitted under the regime - wobetide anyone that might ask for a straw for their drink - again not on the permitted list. And don't go expecting a smile - again not permitted.

A great shame really as the food was reasonably good and the setting is rather nice as well.

Still, it dosen't really matter to me as I won't be returning - approach with caution if you are thinking of going and before you ask questions consider whether stalin himself might have pre-approved it!!

Thank you for taking the time to highlight your visit to our Restaurant .Though you have clearly written your review with good humour you also raise an important point about communication which I have discussed with my Restaurant Team one of whom is new and of Eastern European origin (not Russian). We are all sorry to read of your experience as we take great care to provide all our guests with a pleasent and efficient service. Your kind comments regarding our Food and setting are much appreciated, thank you.

Two of us called into the Falcon Carvery on the off chance a table would be free - which it was. We both had the carvery which was just OK. Nothing grand, but not too bad. The choice of veg was limited and not very tasty. I was not allowed a yorkshire pudding as I had turkey !! Not a patch compared to Toby Carveries.
