“Good again”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Had fish ands chips there last night and it was up to its past standard. Couldnt fault it. The new owners have got it together now - despite a few setbacks. Alderney people had better start realising that the Chippy might disappear if they dont get there and support it.

“Used to be wonderful”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

this used to be a wonderful place to eat. We must have gone on an 'off' night as it just wasn't up to scratch. But apparently they are under new management and so are maybe finding their feet
But as the only chip shop, still worth a visit. And a nice setting.

“Terrible”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Always been the best thing about sailing into Braye Harbour. Sadly not anymore under new ownership and now very disappionting. The chips were like bullets and we chose scampi which was very sparce and tasteless. Most of the meal went in the bin.Not cheap either .

“What a Dissapointment”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Egar to try the chippy again under it's new ownership, we were so dissapointed. We have eaten here many times on Trips to the island fishing. As you could imagine a hard day fishing in the fresh air a good appetite is the order of the day. Firstly limited in the line of food, Fish of cours and sausagem no pies or chicken available. We ordered Fish chips and Peas, Peas were served in a polesterine pot stone cold, we returned them and asked for our money back as were half way through our meal, they returned them luke warm. The fish didnt look great< very uniformed and greasy On eating the middle was cold it seemed as if the fish had been previously cooked then not reheated sufficiently< this would explain the soggy inside of the batter with the greasy exterior> someone did come out to say we hear you have a problem and did offer to redo the meal however we felt given that both meals were exactly the same we would get no better: The gentleman said thats ok then and off he went: i can honestly say it is the worst fish and chips we ahve ever had! Everyone needs to make up there own mind as this is only our oppinion but they have a very long way to come to make a very simple dish edible!!! Such a shame as it was always a real treat on previous visits*
