We stumbled across the Georgian House Hotel when we were looking for somewhere to have coffee. It was so lovely we went back the next day and had lunch! We were lucky enough to be in Alderney (first time) during the recent very warm weather, and therefore we went straight outside to the garden. It's an absolute delight, a walled garden and hence a sun trap. Lots of beautiful flowers in pots etc. The girl serving us was lovely, very pleasant and polite. And honest too, as she rather shyly told us that she was really sorry for our wait, but for some reason the food order she took from us didn't make it to the chef straightaway. Well we hadn't even noticed, it had only been a few minutes. We shared a laugh, and the food came about 15 minutes later. I had Feta cheese & Courgette Fritters which were delicious, and then a gorgeous slice of chocolate tart, with a real dollop of honeycomb, creme fraiche and pureed raspberries. Gorgeous! All in all, a real little gem, wish we had discovered it earlier! Would have liked to have given 4.5, rather than a 4.
