We stayed for one night in room 6. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast was a wide choice and very enjoyable. We were able to park our car there and it was just a short walk into town. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Room 6 - large, clean and for us quiet

Decided to bring my wife in here today as soon as we walked in she tried to persuade us to leave straight away. We gave it a chance but wish we left when before we ate, there was chefs in the bar area which is highly descusting and unprofessional, got sereved straight away gave us time to decided what to eat. However they told us they will be back well 15minuets later still no sign and noticed they where just standing there speaking. Food came out tasted very dry and salad tasted out of date, will not be returning.

Well where do I start? Firstly the food is amazing, the prices are great and the service is by far extraordinary. The bar staff are polite and friendly. As for the chefs, they work hard and look presentable, they make sure the food is displayed exceptionally well and cooked to perfection, we often come by on a Sunday for the carvery which is one of the best around the area. The rooms that are available to book are cleaned immaculately and are very spacious I would highly recommend staying here if in need to stay somewhere due to either work or a vacation. The only thing that let's the pub down is the young mum who sits in the pub with her kid all day everyday swearing and being overly loud. Other than that this is the place too eat and stay in ely. We will carry on coming back week in week out.

after recently staying at the high flyer, i was somewhat surprised at some of the reviews.its a pub
so you are going to get the general public in the pub.the room needed a little maintenance. i.e
broken tiles in bathroom and radiator needs putting on straight on the bedroom wall. but overall
good shower, comfy bed plenty of tea and coffee, tv.at breakfast the host was very attentative
and it was a nice breakfast. it isn;t five star but somewhere to stay for a couple of nights.

Room Tip: get a room not above bar

Me and my partner decided to go here for a meal over the weekend and the little waitress was shouting about her sexual ecperiences and swearing, the bar staff was rude when we ordered our food and drinks, our food come out and it tasted out of date and wasn't cooked properly, i highly recommend staying away from this place, there was a young chef and she was doing all the cleaning because the 2 chavy chefs was to busy standing at the bar messing about with all the bar staff, if this young girl sees this then you deserve to go somewhere better as this is a s**t hole

We decided to go here on Sunday evening as it has always been quite good. When we arrived, I thought we had walked into a youth club. There were young girls swooning over the male bar staff and swearing and shouting. I wanted to leave, but my partner persuaded me to stay. The food was average, but it will take me a long time to return
