We were in England in September, 2008. The Willow Tree, Bourn was recommended to us by the owners of Knapwell Wood Farm, Knapwell, where we were staying. The Willow Tree is an attractive pub restaurant with very good food. We found the decor and menu choices tasteful and eclectic. In the U.S. we would refer to it as "upscale" ("upmarket" in England, I believe) - meaning that it is not an inexpensive, mud-on-the-boots kind of farmer/country pub but a pub restaurant where one has a pleasant dining experience. We ate indoors where a fireplace (or 2?) was burning and there is a back outdoor deck facing the willow tree of the name. We found this to be a lovely dinner spot if you are in the Cambridge area and have a vehicle. I was so relaxed there sipping my drink I could have stayed for hours!
