“Really notably good continental food: great bread and soup!”
Reviewed January 3, 2011

My partner and i have been coming here a fair amount, and we have been very impressed with the food and staff friendliness. The chef clearly takes pride in what he does (he says so too!). We often come with other couples with kids, so it can be busy, but it is reliably a great food venue. German (real German!) bread can be bought here, which is a relief after the crappy British versions I've had to face over the last few years. :)

“serious food for grown ups !”
Reviewed November 17, 2010

Finally , a top restaurant in Cambridge which serves great food, with wonderful ingredients and imagination, without the novelity effect of foams, jellies and smokes.
Contemporary , artistic presentation of classic cooking. On the menu there was Kidneys a la dijonaise alongside Tartare Trinity of Turbot, Tuna and Salmon - Unique
Chef Hans still cooking with his small team , and waiting staff, there when you need them and not hovering.
Price - too reasonable ! Will be back for more

“Faultless food, friendly staff and excellent restaurant run by very efficient Ruth.”
Reviewed November 10, 2010

Our first visit to COTTO and it will certainly not be our last! We dined on delicious food and just loved everything about the venue. We had a delightful table next to the long sash windows and were attended to by friendly, intelligent staff who gave excellent service. The restaurant was buzzing with loads of atmosphere on a Saturday evening.
Expect to be going back again shortly for lunch or dinner or both!

“The most amazing cake I have EVER brought!”
Reviewed November 10, 2010

I have eaten at Cotto and love it, fresh and delicious. However, my review is about the service I received when organising a cake to be made for my Sons 1st birthday and Naming Ceremony. It was easy to order; Ruth was very helpful in talking through the options. The Chef was delightfully welcoming upon collection and presented a beautiful cake that was so Delicious. The cost was so reasonable and worth every penny. Thank you Ruth and Hans.

I have visited Cotto a few times..never had a bad experience.
I go there to have a proper food..i think there is no other place like that in Cambridge.
The staff are so friendly and they make you welcome with their warm smile!!!
They make everything fresh from local food suppliers. What would you want more?
I wish them well success at all times...
