This is the sort of restaurant Cambridge really lacks: excellent quality, imaginative food, a couple of steps up from the 'gastropub' stuff you get everywhere else.
Service was great, venue was attractive (although the music was a bit loud...), and food was 90% excellent and 10% disappointing. It's so close to being really, *really* good - just a bit more attention to detail needed, as each plate had something that just wasn't quite right, poorly presented, a bit overcooked, and so on. As an example: we'd said we were vegetarians when we booked, but were still offered amuse bouche with fish in...and then when we said we couldn't eat it, the fishy one was taken away, and no replacement brought! It's a silly little thing, but it's the difference between a 'nice' meal out and an exceptional one.
It's not quite as exciting or innovative as, say, the Hole in the Wall, but it's a lot easier to get to! Definitely worth a try.
