We go to Cotto for every special occasion and have done, without exception, since we first heard about it in a magazine review. I know Hans from his previous Confiserie Schweizer in the 80's when new to Cambridge. At Cotto, the food is absolutely excellent and very good portions. The menu is varied enough and the food is cooked and presented to perfection. The staff are lovely and since we started going there, probably three years ago, we have not noticed any staff changes! A really fabulous favorite restaurant!

We have enjoyed a meal there in July, November and December of this year alone!

This is a must eat venue, great food choice one of those menus that leaves you wanting to back and try the other dishes you favoured. We went as a party of four and the food and service was great, wine a little over priced but this didn't take the edge offvtgecwhole experience. Try the pheasant for main course truly splendid

My girlfriend and I have been here twice now, and both times were absolutely wonderful. The restaurant only has 14 tables, and is only now open for dinner Weds-Sat, however reservations were never an issue on the Friday and Saturday we went. The atmosphere is intimate and very pleasurable. The staff are great, very attentive but not overbearing. The owners, Ruth and Hans (chef), are both great and frequently interact with the customers.

The food is elegant and delicious; simple yet refreshing. Fresh ingredients and dishes that you can tell were hand chosen and prepared meticulously. As it turns out, the owners live for the restaurant, little if no profit is gained by operating this delightful spot.

We've been twice in the past 2 weeks, and reckon we'll go again soon before they close for Christmas! I would strongly recommend this spot to anyone. At £45 on weekdays and £50 on weekends for a delightful 3 course meal, we actually enjoyed it more than other, Michelin star rated and expensive restaurants we've been to.

I reviewed Cotto some two years ago. Last week, we took a neighbour to Cotto for dinner as a celebration. The fixed menu was just heavenly. The chef's chocolates, the venison steak, the delicate appetisers, everything, was simply spectacular. Make sure you make reservations well in advance, because nowadays, everyone knows how good Cotto is--and it lives up to it completely!
