Good things: friendly staff, although could have better training. Lovely beds, sheets, pillows. Very interesting building and in an ideal spot for exploring Cambridge - literally across the road from the Fitzwilliam Museum if you are interested in art. Also very good breakfast.
Disappointing things: no place in bedroom or shower room for putting toiletries or make-up - the basin was fixed to wall with no surrounding for "stuff". When in shower (which was great) nowhere to hang towel or dressing gown. No proper dressing table or mirror. Bedside lighting commendable for energy saving but impossible to read by! Food at dinner was disappointing as was the service apart from the young female sommelier who knew her stuff.
