I was there 2 nights, the place is clean and well equipped. Overlooking the river and a bridge in Midsummer common the apartment is quiet with a nice view from one of the window. The host Heather is very kind and helpful with good information to offer about the area.
Walking to town centre (St. Andrews street) takes around 10 minutes, the walk goes through two parks Midsummer common and Christ’s pieces so it’s actually very enjoyable and easy.
Walking to the train station might be a bit far if you are carrying luggage, about 1 1/2 mile.
I will definitely consider this place if I need to visit Cambridge again.
The apartment is well located - a very pleasant walk along the river into Cambridge. It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped for a short or longer term stay.
A comfortable flat within easy walking distance of the city centre. The availabilty of a parking space meant no worries about what to do with the car
This is my third stay here in three years and its now an integral part of my annual Cambridge visit.
The place feels like coming home, except that unlike many holiday rentals this one has a feel of actually being well maintained and updated on a regular basis.
It was nice to see a new settee and living room rug (although the old ones were in good condition last time I stayed here).
The location as mentioned in earlier reviews is perfect with the Grafton literally two minutes walk away in one direction and the river walks virtually on the doorstep with a great view of the river from the living room window.
And crucially in Cambridge parking is no problem at all with spaces in the apartment grounds and a residents permit if needed for on street parking on the very rare occasion there aren't spaces in the grounds.
Heather is fantastic as an owner, with deposits returned promptly and very helpful.
Overall this remians the best apartment I've rented in Cambridge and I'd rather work my holiday around its availability then rent anywhere else.
