The restaurant is in an old school which has been beautifully turned into a lovely restaurant. The charm has been retained and the decor is very tasteful. We dined at lunchtime. At night Bottisham Church is lit up and as the restaurant is so close, there must be a lovely view of the church from the tables at night.
There is a spacious terrace whiich again has been very tastefully thought out.
At last ... a lovely independent Italian Restaurant. Wonderful food, good varied choice on menu, Would really recommend this fairly new restaurant. I can't quite understand the comments that it is miles from Cambridge - it is not! By the time you have travelled around the city (if you are travelling in by car) and paid an arm and a leg for parking isn't it easier to drive (or cycle) a few miles to Bottisham where the parking is free?
My starter of sardines was delicious - I could almost smell the mediterranean and my chicken main dish was excellent. My husband chose Italian meats as a starter and a crepe dish for a main course he was also very pleased with his meal. The vegetables were perfect. We both indulged in desserts which were scrummy. Even the coffee was good - which is what you would expect from an Italian chef!!!
The service was just right not too slow and we were not in any way rushed although the restaurant was full - not bad for a Saturday lunchtime in a new restaurant!
We have already booked two meals in the future.
