Description: You may have tried Italian, French and Chinese foods but until you have enjoyed the best of Polish Cuisine you haven't lived! Come to the Polonia Club on Chesterton Road in Cambridge to find out how it really is.Polish Food is a relatively new phenomenon in the UK but one which is soon to as popular as popping out for an Indian on a Friday night. Pierogi, placki ziemniaczane, and many more dishes are sure to become as famous as curry, naan bread and poppadoms. Serving nothing but authentic Polish Food, the Polonia Club sources all of its food locally. Polish delicacies such as bigos, golabki and more are all on the menu for customers to try and then enjoy time after time. The extremely reasonable menu starts at just £4,50 giving everyone the opportunity to try something new for little cost. we are especially proud of our home baked bread which contains no artificial food colourings and flavourings . Poland is renowned for its alcohol and the Polonia Club brings this particular aspect of its spiritual home to Cambridge with especial vigour. An incredible range of Polish spirits and traditional vodkas are served that will put most bars and pubs to shame. 46 different types of Polish vodka are available, both pure and flavoured. Those seeking something a little lighter need not worry - 12 different Polish beers can be selected too. Especially good for parties the Club can be hired for private bookings and social events. If it's your birthday they will bake a special cake for you if advance notice is given.

“We really enjoyed our meal...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We had been away from home for 6 weeks travelling around. Have done the English Pub meals, the Chinese, the Italian, the Indian and the French meals. We thought we would try Polish while in Cambridge. The Polonia Club was really good. I had the Potato Pancakes with Beef stew and my partner had the Beef Roulade. This was washed down with some Polish Beer. We really enjoyed the meal. And it did not cost an arm and a leg!!!

“Great food - good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

Really enjoyed myself at the Polonia club. To start they have a great selection of beers and other drinks that I found to be reasonably priced for a restaurant in Cambridge. 500 ml beers range from 3.30 to 4, I really enjoy the honey beer which is 3.70. They offer a number of very reasonably priced appetizers with the baked cheese hard not to order. For mains, my advice would be to order a number of dishes and then share them. To me, it would be a great place to go with a group of 4-6 people. Reservations would be recommended as the place is quite busy and not to big. The prices are very good for Cambridge, 3 course meal with beer for two was less than £20 each.

I went for dinner, but the lunch menu and deal looks like an amazing deal. 5.50 for lunch with a rotating special each day of the week. A bit different on the weekend, but I think the still offer some sort of specials.

“Delicious Food. Felt Like Being Back in Krakow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

Good selection of food. Enthusiastic customers helped us out with choosing best choice dishes. Very friendly, personable place. Maitre'D helpful and welcoming. We all enjoyed out dishes very much. As we are local, we will be back. You can park out back, sit out back outdoors, or indoors, and deck location out front. Cosy interior around the bar too. One gets the impression this place is going to do very well over time. Good on you!

“Great Polish food and cheap”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

I ate here with my Polish wife whilst in Cambridge (we were in a B&B across the road)

The range of dishes is excellent, every one we had was very good indeed- the fried potato dish in the photo was, according to my wife, absolutely perfect. The deserts were good too. They also have an amazing range of Polish beers and vodkas. Service was fast and efficient, about half the diners were English. Would very much recommend it.
