Had a fantastic three course meal here with drinks and coffee for two for under £50. Uncomplicated menu with something for all tastes in a lovely setting with friendly staff and locals. Really is worth a trip. Food really good and left with a real desire to return again soon. Real ale, real food, real good night.

Arrived to a minor confusion over the booking, but quickly resolved in a friendly way and we had a table with a view of the fire as planned for a 1 March cold Saturday night.
Good friendly service with reasonable timing for freshly cooked food. The pie with veg/spuds & fish & chips with peas were very tasty and as good as you'd get for such pub food. Doesn't pretend to be a Michelin starred restaurant, but plenty of locals were in enjoying the good real ales as well as happy diners. Will go again- the atmosphere and (very) rural environment are excellent and worth a few minutes detour off the A14 or A428.

The landlord and lady are very friendly and serve a good pint of ale. I don't expect much more of a pub but this is a pretty old country pub in a lovely village. We walk here regularly on a Sunday for a couple of jars and a packet of cheese and onion.

Quaint old pub that served up some of the best ale I've ever tasted. Good home-cooked food, served up by friendly owners. Well worth a visit.

Great little pub not far from the A14 - worth the detour if you are hungry and don't fancy the usual service area food.
