“Wonderful takeaway sandwiches!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I work nearby and and I often nip in for a takeaway sandwich and a cake. The menu is impressive and there is always an array of specials to tempt me. I am always impressed with the service, the food is always fresh and really tasty and it is very reasonably priced. An excellent cafe!

“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Fair Shares is very handy for the sights and shops of central Cambridge, but offers a quiet spot and good-value food. The range of home-made cakes is excellent and there are always a number of specials on offer. Service is friendly and there is a noticeable attention to detail - not always the case in busy city-centre cafes! Would recommend also checking out the free lunchtime concerts in the adjacent church, they tend to be of a really high standard.

“Great value, great food”
Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Let's face it, Cambridge is not a cheap city so finding a good little cafe so close to the centre serving real "cafe" food at real "cafe" prices is a bonus. We were too late for lunch but the specials looked good. However, an excellent granary bread sandwich, cheese on toast (2 slices), apricot crumble cake, bottled water and a glass of squash came in at less than £7. What's not to like about that.

“Amazing homemade cakes”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

The cafe is perfectly located near the colleges, Fiztwilliam museum and the vast array of shops on offer in Cambridge. It has a friendly atmosphere, a great selection of hot food, cakes and sandwiches. I have also recently used the takeaway service and had a lovely sandwich and cake. The cafe is in a unique setting and offers exactly what both visitors and people working locally are looking for.

“"Lovely informal atmosphere and tasty, well-priced food"”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Ideal location near the centre of Cambridge and should be far better known. Of course the good news for those of us who do know about it is that we have a chance of getting in. I'm tempted to suggest we should keep the secret to ourselves, but it's run in such a good cause, get out there and tell all your friends!
