I stop off here almost every day to collect a sandwich for my lunch. Christine is the most lovely lady and bakes incredible cakes, brownies etc. if you are feeling extra peckish. There are only 3 v small tables available so don't go at peak times if you wish to sit down.

Christine's is simply great, and it should have more reviews, all of them five-star. It's tucked away, but really worth looking for. If I were a student at Corpus or Catz I'd be there ALL the time, frankly. The other reviews are right: lots of brilliant cakes, delicious and not run-of-the-mill, available by the slice, or ordered in advance. Christine will do you a custom cake, with her own beautiful icing/marzipan figures. I have occasionally dropped in to buy a whole cake as a treat for work colleagues, and they've all gone down very well. Lots of little treats and sweets, including some new ones with Portuguese(?) names: fab. Christine's will also do you a filled pastry or a hot rissole (I know!), as well as a decent cuppa. Last but not least, Christine is also super-super-nice. I know we have a Valerie's franchise at the other end of town, which is big and bustling and perfectly nice, but I'd go here, at an odd time to get a seat, and ENJOY.

Chanced upon Christine's whilst walking in Cambridge looking for a sandwich shop. Small inside with just three tables but we were lucky to get one. The food is freshly prepared and reasonably priced, the coconut macroons absolutely delicious and Christine is at least bilingual!

Thoroughly recommended!

Christine makes you welcome, and feeds you baguettes which are baked on site through the day and have the freshest of fillings. And that does not even cover the cakes! It is not a big place for space, but is is big on delivery of great quality food for a very reasonable price.
