These gardens are not always open to the puplic but if they are do go in. They are located between the banks of the Cam and Queens Road. You can glimpse them if you are punting on the Cam if they are not open.
Im not much of a horticulturist so I cant name all the flowers but the bursts of color from the roses, sunflowers, impatiens, and many many more make this a photographers dream. There is a water feature and smaller areas, separated by boxwood borders, that you can explore. You are not to eat or drink while in the garden and it is a nice place to spend a bit of time on a lovely summer day.

Visited the gardens on a beautiful sunny day. What a treat. Beautifully kept, very relaxing and great to see the river from the opposite bank. We had visitors to Cambridge with us, from the US, who were completely taken with the gardens. We will definitely return.

This garden is as good as a stately home one: good design, plenty of all-year round planting and giving lots of inspiration for your own garden.

On a recent visit to Cambridge, my friends and I popped into Clare College Gardens. One of my party is particularly knowledgeable concerning all things horticultural, and was extremely impressed with what we found. So much so, that he made a return visit later the same day! As a city Cambridge has more than its fair share of beautiful attractions and buildings. Though an alumnus of another Cambridge college, I have to admit that Claire's gardens are especially impressive in both the range and colour of plants, and also the garden's composition and style.

One of the quieter parts of cambridge along the backs, this is a place to read meditate or people watch as the punts meander by.
The gardens are absolutely wonderful, being very secluded and private, and there is never many people here,so my tip is come, enjoy and bring a light snack.
