“Worth a visit though it won't keep you busy for weeks.”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

The university itself is spread throughout the city of Cambridge which is worth a weekend visit. There many little pockets of history to be discovered. Dress warm in the winter.

“What's why you go to Cambridge for!”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

You go to Cambridge, you must visit U. of Cambridge. That's what it's famous for. The university has many colleges. The famous ones are together, punting through River Cam is the best way to all these colleges. Walking tour is also feasible as they are close to each other. However, not all colleges are open, and if you want to go in, you may need to pay a fee. Do check with these colleges before you go to ensure you can get in. Definitely visit King's College, Queen's College, and if you have time, St. John's College is a good choice.

“University of Cambridge”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

One of the oldest higher education establishments in the world, the University of Cambridge is today striving for excellence in teaching and research. The buldings themselves are spread out over the whole city and merit close examination. There are also many museums connected to the University that are worth visiting.

“Historic University with Architecturally significant buildings”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

The University of Cambridge is renowned throughout the world for its excellent academic record but not so well known for its wonderful buildings which date back to the thirteenth century! The colleges are spread over a large area of Cambridge, not just on a Campus, and so it is well worth getting a street map of Cambridge from the Tourist information office in order to appreciate the range of sites, buildings and Architecture of the university. A walk along Kings Parade and down Trinity Street is the Ideal starting point for appreciating Peterhouse, Kings, Cais, and Trinity colleges.
