“Worth the visit”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Take your punting trip from here. They even gave us a mug of tea while we waited for the next boat. Trip was 45 minutes in total - well worth it.

A beautiful stroll around the backs, stunning architecture especially seen from a punt. Advisable to hire someone who can actually guide a punt but good fun seeing others attempting to. Plenty of eateries nearby. On a nice day it really is lovely but can be expensive if you want to enter the colleges although worth it for the historical value.

“Beautiful way of seeing the Colleges”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

I too had a wonderful May Bank Holiday with glorious sunshine, and enjoyed strolling though the Backs, away from the traffic, and seeing the colleges from the river, particularly the Bridge of Sighs and Kings'. I didn't go punting but enjoyed watching the antics of the novices steering precariously through the punt equivalent of Picadilly Circus! I recommend this to anyone visiting Cambrige.

“fantastic Bank Holiday treat”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Finally a Bank Holiday with some sunshine! It was fantastic to wander along the river and sit in the sunshine today. You can't beat the combination of historic buildings and the entertainment of other people nearly falling from their punts into the river! A great way to spend an afternoon :-)
