“A pleasant spot to walk or picnic”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The park is located just to the north of Cambridge, and is a pleasant place to wander on gravel trails with glimpses of water through the trees. There is a cafe and children's play area, and it is the location for the Saturday parkrun (open to all free of charge, but you need to register for a barcode in advance) so if you fancy a 5k run while in Cambridge, this is your place! You have to pay in the car-park, but as others have said, it is close to a large Tesco store, so you can maybe combine it with some shopping, and park there, but the fee is only £2, so still a cheap outing.

“A great place to get away from it all.”
Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

This park is a lovely place to go for a walk. With a small car park available it's probably best to sneak in at the Tesco car park across the road, but once you're in, you can get lost in some leafy pathways through the woodland.
Feed the wildlife if you wish, or enjoy a picnic in the Summer at one of a handful of bench/tables dotted throughout.
If you're a fan of nature, wildlife or just the great outdoors, you'll have to walk many a mile before you find a park that allows exploration to the level of this one.

“Most accessible patch of water”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

This is basically a patch of woodland around a couple of disused gravel bits; there aren't that many facilities. It's a good place to take a dog for a walk, sometimes there are some reasonably interesting water birds on the lakes, and on a bright icy day there are some good pictures to be taken.

“A walk in the park..”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

A great rambling walkway set around a huge lake with lots of areas around to explore with inquisitive children. Grassed areas with plenty of spaces to sit and eat a picnic, watch the bird life, or run off some energy. Friendly dog walkers and family groups gather here to enjoy a walk around the lake, play in the gated park or on the climbing equipment. Wheelchair friendly. There is a small car park at the entrance, which is currently £2 to park whether for 10 mins or 8 hrs.. A very well run cafe open most days serving great coffee and cakes, sandwiches, ice cream and soups. Bird feed available in the cafe to buy.

“Good place for a walk”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a great place for a gentle walk - it is tucked between Milton and the A14, the site of an old quarry, and it is a nice place to go for a walk. There is a decent little cafe, 2 playgrounds (one for younger kids, one for older kids) a big lake to walk around. All the paths are flat and suitable for all ages.
