Very well appointed. Staff very attentive, very good food, ideally placed for Cambridge City, the stunts of the punters are very amusing. I liked the hot chocolate cookie, the rooms are very comfortable, didn't rate the mini bar, charging for just looking is not acceptable and the system should be abandoned or the notices warning of the charges should be made clear before entering the rooms.
£18.50 for a car parking space overnight when staying at the Hotel is outrageous, I'd sooner arrive by public transport

Location was lovely, right on the river Cam and it is this setting which saved the hotel from an even lower score. Beware; if you stay in room 342 the air conditioning unit is housed above and it is noisy and comes on randomly (it sounds as if somebody is hoovering above). We had a disturbed sleep until we complained. We were offered a move to another room in the early hours (not good), until one of the staff went and switched it to a lower more bearable setting.

This room also overlooks a building site, we were woken at 7:50 am by the builders drilling. We ventured down to breakfast tired and fed up. The breakfast for this price of hotel was also a bit of a let down. It looks as if they are trying to cut costs and there weren't enough staff covering. Frankly, in the past I have paid half the cost at a Premier Inn, had a better sleep and a better breakfast.

Finally, the hotel offers a pool, which again we were looking forward to on arrival, only to find that half of it was partitioned off for swimming lessons and it was also tatty and in need of a refurb. My advice to would be guests is look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for one that looks over the river. Room 342 has A/C unit noise

This hotel has been review appropriately. My early check-in was not available. There were 14 people in front of me for early check-in! The bar took at least 15 minutes to fill or order at 11 pm. At least the waiter explained the delay. The breakfast had limited selections and dirty dishes. It is unfortunate that the hotel management does not recognize the potential in having such a prized location. Attention to detail would pay off.

Great location. Rooms clean and well appointed. Eat out as the in hotel dining and service was awful and there are far better eateries in abundance in the area. Not up to scratch for a Hilton hotel, and not recommended for couples looking for a romantic well served break away.

Beds were not comfortable and parking very expensive, But hotel lovely and food excellent. Our stay was very nice and relaxing, and perfect location for visiting Cambridge as it is right next to the river Cam. Beautiful location.

Stayed for a weekend in August. This Hotel has a fantastic setting, within easy walking distance of the main attractions of historic Cambridge yet has a large Riverside garden and convenient [if expensive] car parking. We opted for the upgrade and enjoyed a balcony with views of the river through to the Mathematical Bridge. Whilst the room was well presented and furnished it did strike me as being a little tired and could have been cleaner. I'm not suggesting the room was dirty, but fine dust was evident on a few surfaces and the odd mark on fabrics etc. For the price of the room I would have expected it to be spotless. The glass top tables seemed to highlight imperfections and dust and the washbasin didn't discharge water very well [a common issue in hotel rooms].
We slept with the patio door partially open, but disappointingly were woken on the Sunday morning to the smell of cigarette smoke from the next door balcony. I was under the impression the hotel was non smoking -perhaps the balconies are exempt, at least the fire alarm wasn't activated. Didn't try the breakfast, I've given up on hotel breakfasts. Despite this I would stay again.

Room Tip: The river view balcony option is worthwhile if you can bare the price.

Stayed over a weekend and the location could not be any better, right on the Cam river and you can sit at the restaurant and watch the punters as they go by. The hotel is only minutes away from all the sights and is easy to get from the train station. The service and comfort is amazing and a hot cookie at checkin is a nice touch. The one downside is a lack of free (good) wifi which you would expect at the price of the rooms per night. Overall a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it!
