“Evensong is a bucket list experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

The choir at evensong gave me goosebumps it was so moving and beautiful. The atmosphere at candlelight puts you back a hundred years. It is a beautful way to see the college chapel and experience Cambridge. A must go!

“An experience not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

When you visit King's College, Cambridge, you are left with a number of quite stunning images and memories.

There is the beauty of the Chapel - both internally and externally. There is also the beauty of the grounds down to the River Cam.

But perhaps most of all, attending Evensong in the Chapel is an experience that you simply have to take in. For well in excess of 50 years, the Choir of King's has been looked up to as "the" choir in the UK both by Boy Choristers around the UK and by those who simply delight in perfection in presenting the music of the Anglican tradition.

Renowned for their annual presentation of Nine Lessons and Carols which has been broadcast on the radio for well in excess of 50 years, the choir's daily musical offering is on a par.

Get there early and join the queue. It is sheer perfection, and not to be missed.

“Do Not Miss This Outstanding Treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2014

The Chapel is wholly breathtaking in the quality of its architecture and sense of history. The exhibition is most interesting and informative. King's College Chapel must be one of the most impressive achitectural gems anywhere in the world.

“Evensong Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

Wanted to feel the King's experience and was not disappointed. It was cold queuing to be admitted but worth the minor inconvenience. The venue is spectacular and the sound quality is superb. Very much enjoyed the occasion.
The only negative that I can put forward is that there was a tendency for some people to queue jump which is quiet irritating and not at all British but we got over this minor niggle.

“Must be seen to be believed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

I work with sound in my own church in the US, and now I finally know what a good sound really is. I was literally moved to tears more than once during Evensong and an organ recital by the indescribably music.

There are no words that can do this justice. It must be experienced in person.
