“Just a pub but great history”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Food was disappointing and seems to be for tourists the atmosphere is good as its full and noisy and the outside area is nice -its a good stop for a single small drink and take in the drama

“5* Atmosphere, 3* Food”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

An interesting pub with a fascinating history - particularly for anyone with an interest in the USAAF occupation of East Anglia during WW2. The ceiling and other decoration and memorabilia is a real tribute to the young men who fought for our freedom.

It was very busy, even mid-afternoon, but the staff were friendly and efficient and the wait for food was reasonable. Whilst it was cheap for city-centre food, the burger was good but the pie very ordinary, served with a spoonful of peas and some chips. Coffee though was excellent! In all, a bit mixed although it would not put me off going back.

“The food is ok but the history is awesome”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

Right across from King's college is a place any American should visit when in Cambridge. During WWII American pilots stationed here would visit and they often burned their names into the ceiling of this establishment. In addition to the history you should check out their menu and get a drink and see beautiful Cambridge. Unless you should be studying!

“Nice place to have a drink”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

Nice place to have a drink, though the area of the pub we sat in felt a bit tired and scruffy, though other parts looked nicer. Whatever you do don't go round the corner to the Agora at the Kettle Pot for food, it is terrible.

“Good location, good story, average food”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

If you want a place with good atmosphere and a story to back it up, this is a good place to come. But if you don't really care about the story and really looking for good eats then I suggest you try elsewhere.
