“Genuine and Homely”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013 via mobile

The Eagle has a lot of history in Cambridge, and such that would point any visitor here that wants to learn a little bit about Cambridge during the World Wars. A genuine British pub and proud of it, The Eagle boasts friendly and knowledgable staff, and a good range of the usual, and unusual beers and ales.
Definitely worth a stop in.

“A must for Cambridge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

An old classic English pub but steeped in history. The place was a favourite for US Army Air Corps during WW2 and loads of pics on the walls. DNA was also announced to the world by the Cambridge scientists there. Food is fine the ales also good.

“Variety of beers, nice food, average service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

This is a traditional place here in Cambridge. Considering the long history of The Eagle, it's a beautiful place to stay in, although in terms of service or food, it was average. The sirloin steak was tasty and well-done, anyway.

“Great Pub!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

Called in for a pint of ale on a swift visit to Cambridge. Delightful pub with hive of activity and good vibe. Eagle DNA was delicious. Would visit again without hesitating.

“Not as good?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

I don't know what's happened but it's not as good as it used to be. Still packed due to the tourists but definitely going downhill. Worth a visit for a pint but that's it.
