This pub is massive and although it's old, it has been really well kept. It's nice and warm with a lovely patio outside. The fishcakes were great and so was the mulled wine! A mixed crowd were everyone feels comfortable.

Enjoyed fish and chips and a beer there. Enjoyed reading of the "war" history of The Eagle. A bartender let us back in the next day to check out the writtings on the ceiling from the fly boys.

Not the greatest choice of ales on offer but the food was worth five stars. You have book a table and then order food from the bar. The pub itself looks great and there is a very traditional fell to the place.

Always busy but always delivers. A great place for drinks and the pies look amazing, even though i have not had the chance to try any yet. Expect hordes of American tourists discussing the war days and looking up at the ceiling where names of US soldiers and airmen are written onto with candle smoke.

In the centre of town, on the tourist track is this old and friendly pub. This is where the American pilots used to come during WW2 and Watson and Crick was discussing/solving the DNA mystery. Food i=s very good, traditional and served al day. This Pub gets very busy and it is often difficult to get table
