This modern and well run Premier Inn is ideally placed if you wish to explore Cambridge on foot. Plenty of car park space, the "guided" Express Bus Stop is within five minutes pleasant walk and takes you, non-stop, into the Central 'no private car' area of the City. Excellent friendly staff and well appointed if basic rooms. The restaurant menu will not suit all, but on-site covienience makes it very acceptable for one evening at least. The meal and breakfast deal is very good value for money. As advised when you book, this hotel is close to a major road which required closed window and air conditioning for a good night's sleep. We would use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for the quieter top floor rooms.

My husband and myself stayed there for one night on the 22nd April after attending a pop concert in Cambridge. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was modern and clean. My only slight crtitism would be that the heating system in the room was a bit noisey. Really recommend the premier breakfast, good value for money, it was delicious, eat as much as you like. Would recommend this hotel, "it does what it says on the tin" and intend to stay there again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights from 2 April to enable us to explore Cambridge. We've stayed in many Premier Inns and know what to expect and this one didn't disappoint. The check in was swift, efficient and the staff courteous. The hotel is only a couple of years old so all the furnishings and decoration still look pretty new. Our room was probably not the largest we've stayed in at a Premier Inn but had everything we needed and the beds really are so comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bath towels were a very generous size. Our room was 703 and overlooked the busy road but we honestly didn't hear a sound during any night.

We didn't have breakfast during our stay as we felt we couldn't really do a full 'all you can eat English' justice but we did use the restaurant on all three evenings and we were very impressed with the quality of the food we had and the professionalism of the restaurant staff.

If I had to be picky the only disadvantage is that it is located on a new housing estate and not near any pubs, shops or restaurants. It's 2.5 miles from Cambridge city centre and a nice manageable walk into town in the morning if you don't wish to drive or wait for a bus, although I understand the buses are quite frequent every 20 minutes or so. Unfortunately the weather was not too good during our stay - very windy and cold, but we enjoyed our stay in Cambridge and will certainly use Premier Inns in the future for short breaks.

This was a stop-over en route to a celebration party in Suffolk. It is definitely the best Premier Inn we have stayed at, mainly because of the integral restaurant. Everything was tip-top. Our only niggle would be that the girl behind the bar didn't seem to know what a non-alcoholic beer was - and couldn't produce one. We also asked for a low-calorie bitter lemon only to be told she didn't have any. The 'regular' bitter lemon that she served had 'Low-Cal' clearly printed on the label!
The guy on reception was more than helpful in many ways. He never stopped smiling and seemed to really care about us as guests.
Scampi was delicious and served nice and hot. Profiteroles were to die for!

Easy check in and out, the staff were polite and didn't fuss around. The evening meal was good and so was the atmosphere in the restaurant. Only downside was breakfast but I was up at 0615 before the service started.

All the usual things you expect from premier inn, scrupulously clean, large, comfortable bed, large bath, ample tea and coffee facilities.

However usually premier inn staff are excellent, and I ever so slightly felt we were a bit of a chore there, we arrived just as the restaurant was due to close, however we were assured it would be fine for us to eat, but were then told it was shut and we couldn't be fed, which is fine but we were made to feel like we were daft for even trying. A couple of other moments just made me feel like we were being treated like children rather than paying guests, which is a shame as usually premier inn staff are beyond excellent.
