“A little too far from town!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

I stayed for two nights whilst visiting my student son. My room was the usual good standard for Premier Inn. The staff at check-in were very helpful, in spite of being very busy.
My only complaint would be that the breakfast buffet had not been refreshed - there was no fresh fruit available - I had to find someone to ask and the hash browns were very dry with the texture of cardboard.
If you don't want to drive into town (parking is a problem) you have the choice of a 50 minute walk or £9.00 taxi (one-way).
Although Premier Inn would always be my first choice when away from home, next time I visit Cambridge I'll stay in town.

We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, with good local knowledge and nothing is to much trouble. Food is well above average for any other hotel except possibly those with 5 star ratings. Infact in the past I have had sub standard food in higher rated hotels. I will when the necessity arises use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Another guest said they had stayed before in another part of the hotel near the kitchen and had foun...

I stayed on a golf weekend, the rooms were clean and well attended. There was plenty of parking which seemed safe as there were security cameras everywhere.

The restaurant was good value and enjoyable and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the City centre.

Staff were helpful and informative.

This review is really for wheelchair users as our party consisted of my wife, myself and daughter who is a wheelchair user. All other reviews correctly describe this Premier Inn as modern, bright and good quality and we totally agree. Even better are the layout and facilities for a non-ambulant guest.

We have just spent 3 very comfortable nights in an accessible bedroom. We discussed our reservation by phone and were given an extra single bed and a large wet room with a shower. All the staff were really helpful and there is ample room in the restaurant and lots of parking.

The 5-10 minute drive into Cambridge was not an issue and once you find the route in to the centre there are 10 blue badge bays right outside Kings College which we used every time (I recommend using the Visit Cambridge website and downloading the disabled visitor guide).

We would definitely use this Premier Inn again. It's position just off the A14 is easy to find and also allows direct access to visit all other places of interest with ease.

Well done Premier Inn. Thanks for looking after us so well.

Perfect for a night away for good value. Good parking facilities.A relaxed atmosphere. Nice bar / lounge. Clean. Fairly good location, bus times can be obtained from reception, which are regular into the city center. Only downside was, the cleaner walked in on me whilst I was pulling up my jeans! He did apologise. I should have locked the door! He seemed more embarressed than me.

Booked in this premier inn so that I could move my daughter into one of the colleges at university of Cambridge the following morning. Arrived quite late after a long drive to a warm friendly welcome by staff. The info on booking site warned that there may be some noise from traffic as it is near a main road - this was not the case and it was very quiet. Good job I had sat nav as the hotel is hidden away at the end of a cul-de-sac on a modern housing estate. Ample parking CCTV and good lighting in covered parking bays. If you are not tied to dates I would suggest going on the website and looking for cheap deals. I have booked the same hotel for only £39 a night next month. Rooms and hotel were very clean and staff were lovely. Thoroughly recommend this Premier Inn.

This is a new hotel with easy access to A14. It has an integrated restaurant and bar. Room was clean and well equipped. Staff were polite, pleasant and efficient. It would help if a Radio/Alarm alongside a bed would assist timing, but it is worth staying again.
