“Good Kerala cuisine.. in Cambridge”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Food is very flavorsome - great selection of Kerala (south west India) choices. Quite different than the usual Indian experience. The service is great - quick seating and attention. Compared to other Indian restaurant's in Cambridge, the pricing is very competitive.

“authentic southern indian”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

this restaurant is was it says on the tin: authentic southern Indian food. very tasty food and helpful staff. Little downside is that the decoration could have been better (was nothing really wrong with it, just a bit plain and cliched). would recommend though

“excellent example of Indian cuisine”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Cannot comment on service, since had to get takeaway, but can comment on food and... well it is very good indeed. Fish biriyani and mini dosas were excellent (biriyani was a little bit dry but it is just an opinion). Mango pulissery was very pleasing too, creamy and rich in taste.

Spiciness: spot on, very well rounded. No desire to stuff your mouth full of ice after the meal. YET we do like spicy food so be careful if you don't, it can be regarded as medium spicy.

All in all, very goos impression. Definitely coming back!

p.s. do not repeat our mistake. If you are going there on a busy evening BOOK in advance :)

“Different from the usual "Indian"”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

A little walk out of the main town on Castle Hill, this restaurant is not to be missed if you want to try some different Indian (Kerala) food. We decided to all order dishes we hadn't heard of before (and there are plenty) and every single one was delicioius. The spice is subtle not hot from this region. Service was good, food was excellent and it's no problem to ask to take away your left-overs. I recommend you keep away from your bog-standard safe choices and enjoy some delicious alternatives here, Not expensive either.

“Nice Kerala restaurant”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Went to this restaurant on Saturday night. Friendly service and excellent food. The dosa was the main highlight for me, had a mini dosa for starter and so good, had to have another one as a side with my main! Only comment was that there wasn't much masala filling in the dosas as it was only in hte middle of the dosa and had to spread it out very thinly. But that said the prawn stew was lovely as was the veg rice. Would recommend arriving a little earlier so to get the order in before the restaurant becomes busy.
