We had a great one night stay at this very smart and modern Premier Inn. We arrived at about 3pm and found that there was still plenty of space in the hotel's small car park. However, there's a multi-story directly above it so no long trek if you do have to use the pay and display.
The welcome we received was fantastic. Staff seemed genuinely interested in the reasons for our visit (the nearby Roald Dahl museum in our case) and we were quickly and efficiently checked in even though the whole computer system was down and everything was being done with good old fashioned pen and paper!
We found plenty of shops to browse and places to eat in the nearby Eden shopping centre.
Our family room was clean and fresh although not the largest we've had. It was cosy for just one night though. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy and we reported this in the morning and were told that the maintenance man was on site and would take a look.
We had a great night's sleep and an excellent breakfast, again surrounded by staff who were friendly, engaging and taking time to give attention to guests. In short I don't think we could have had better service in a four star hotel at triple the price.
