Being only 4.5 miles from my house this is my craft brewing local, and thankfully they do brew some very nice ale. I often pop in for freshly made ale straight from the cask and take it home in 4 pint bottles at a very good price.
I've also done the brewery tour and for the money it is a great way to enjoy a couple of hours with friends.

Popped in for another 9 pint pot. Friendly and helpful staff, and always a cheeky tasting available. Beers comes in all sorts of sizes, and there are lots of other products, not just beers. So drop by for a drop!

We have been to this brewery several times while visiting friends in England and the beer is wonderful! We also frequent The Kings Head Pub in Aylesbury and it too is a grand place and the service is great. Don't miss either place!

Went on the Brewery tour and it was fantastic! The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Everyone was having a laugh whilst walking round. The beer tasting was a good bit of fun and educational. The food was really nice. Chutney, crackers, bread and cheese. The beer was amazing and everyone knows what they are talking about. I love how the brewery is still pretty much that brewery that opened in 1980 except obviously newer technology.
Would definitely recommend.

Chiltern Brewery is a fantastic place to visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I visited on Saturday 28th May 2016 for the brewery tour. The gift vouchers to pay for the tour were given to us by our children and I must admit I was not sure what to expect. The site is not large but what space they do have is used well and everything is on hand. Once we had checked in, we were served our complimentary glass of beer and then shown to our places at the table in a room behind the brewery shop. The tour itself lasts about 25 minutes and that is very interesting and informative and sets you up nicely for the beer tasting. Now this is not your go round the brewery and back to a room to taste beer kind of tour. This is an experience. When you return to your places at the table you find two small jugs of different beer have been left there. Then the lunch arrives. Now I was told this was nibbles but no, beer flavoured bread, butter, locally baked beer biscuits, two different kinds of cubed cheese, one of which is chiltern beer flavoured. They send the beer to Devon and the cheese is made there and transported back for the tours and for sale in the brewery shop and chutney, which personally was not my thing but i was told tasted marvellous, Our guide would explain what to eat and suggest the appropriate beer to go with it and their was a noticeable taste difference when beer was drunk with food as opposed to on its own. A perfect alternative to wine I think. To cap it all an 8.5% barley wine was served with fruit cake what a brilliant pairing that was. A perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon and I really did not want to leave. The hosts were very friendly and sharing various anecdotes and beer related stories made the afternoon funny and enjoyable. They were more than happy to keep topping up your glass with more beer if you wanted it. It was lovely to meet fellow ale lovers from Essex and Kent on the tour. I will be back for a second visit, sometime soon!!

This is a truly amazing review thanks so much for taking the time to write - and at length. We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your brewery tour with us so much and you clearly enjoyed the wonderful selection of nibbles that is matched to the beer. We are very passionate about beer, our heritage and the history of brewing too, so it is great to hear that this came across to you. We also aim to make people feel they have had a real escape on the tour and you were clearly nicely relaxed at the end. Thanks again for your kind words and we do look forward to seeing you again soon.
