“Dissapointed”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

We were prompted to go here after reading great reviews on this site. The place was fairly busy and the prices are definitely cheaper that other Indians in Aylesbury (maybe £1 - £1.50 cheaper per dish). in my opinion however this was reflected in the food.

Lamb chops starter was overcooked, both of our mains were very oily as were the onion bhargees (they literally had oil dripping out of them). Potatoes in the sag aloo were undercooked and still slightly hard. The garlic naan had huge chucks of garlic stuck into a plain naan (by the look of it)

Maybe we just had a bad experience and the food is generally better (i'd assume so from the rest of the reviews) but we will stick to the Golden Bengal in future.

Cheap prices (plus there is no licence so you can bring your own alcohol which keeps the cost down) but in my opinion you get what you pay for

“Possibly one of the worst Indians I've ever tasted!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Arrived at this curry house with high expectations due to readin the reviews on trip advisor.
All was ok to start with until we spotted a filthy spoon on our table which we was supposed to eat with, when it was put to their attention there was no apology!
We got past this and hoped things would improve but no it went from bad to worse. Mid way through our popadom's the starter was thrown on the table by the waiter followed swiftly by our main course after we had barely put our cutlery down! The main was full of fat to the point you could see it swimming in the bottom of the "boiling bowls" we wasn't warned about!
The one waiter that was dealing with the whole restaurant was very unapproachable and rude!
Me and all my family and friends will never be eating in this restaurant again!

“Shensa - Best Indian Restaurant in Aylesbury”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

By far, this is the best Indian food I have had in Aylesbury.

It is best to book in advance to secure a table as it is very popular.

The parking is not great as space is limited - especially if you are looking for a table after 8pm on a weekend, but don't let this deter you.

The food is beautiful and very fresh - this is indeed true for eating in the restaurant or if you decide to have a takeaway. Price is very reasonable - we paid £26.00 for two of us last night which I think is good VFM.

The restaurant itself is a little 'crammed' with tables, but they have done their best with the limited space they have. Also the decor is only OK - but then we don't go to look at the decoration - to us its the food and service - both of which are fantastic.

You will not be disappointed if you decide to pay Shensha a visit!!!
