“very good!!”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

We visited last night to see Chubby Brown.

Theatre was very nice. Would recommend sitting on end of aisle though, because rows are very long!!

Our only gripe was, we ordered drinks, and for the interval , when we arrived. We then found out drinks were not allowed in the auditorium, so had to guzzle our interval drinks in 10-15mins.

We were told this is a regulation from Chubby Brown, but we could have been told by the bar on ordering!!

“Lovely Theatre”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We went for a special family event to see 'Joseph', with family members travelling from South Yorks and London to see the Saturday Matinee. The show was great, well staged, and the modern interior seemed welcoming, with comfortable seating, though the auditorium was a tad on the warm side. This was our first visit to Aylesbury, and we were impressed with the signs for the parking and the ease with which we parked in easy walking distance of the theatre. Also impressive was the reasonable cost of parking, with maximum daily cost in a long stay park being £4. We had lunch in the White Hart opposite the theatre, a typical Wetherspoons pub providing good service and excellent value for money. All in all a great event which made the travelling worthwhile.
Sadly though we are unlikely to repeat the experience, the reason being the exorbitant booking fees. Obviously not living in Aylesbury we had to book by phone. Had it not been for a special family occasion already promised to younger family members we would not have continued with the booking. I've no objection to a reasonable booking fee, but when Sheffield Theatres charge £1 for a complete booking then surely a fee of over £3 PER TICKET is steep, so never again.

Reviewed March 17, 2013

I lived in bradford for many years with the beautiful alhambra theatre.
After many years miles from a theatre, I was delighted to move to a town with a theatre again.
Small in comparrison to the alhambra, but we had a family visit to see rocky horror. Great show, and impressed witj the lovely surroundings. Very comfortable

“A pleasant visit!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

The theatre looks fairly new and very modern, which was nice! It has a huge entrance with a bar in it so there was no queuing to get in, and then once inside it gave you room to stand and get your bearings, or to stand and have a drink. We easily found our seats with the help of one of the theatre staff and the seats were quite comfy. During the interval, my husband went to the bar, and he was literally only gone a few minutes so service was very efficient! You were able to take your drinks to your seats too. We saw the Burlesque show and this was great entertainment, a real mix of people in the audience covering all ages. I would highly recommend a visit to this theatre and would definitely visit again!

“maitlan jones”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Went to see comedien Maitlan Jones last, absolutley side splitting. The theatre was full to the brim. Great family night out. This theatre has caused a lot of controversy in the town,Houses demolished, families uprooted. Why do we have to pay these high prices to see a show? Because this is a massive buisness. The public are living below the poverty line all over,it would be lovely if the franchais would give out reduced price tickets, especially for the shows that dont even fill the front row. The afternoon shows are reasonable, but people work kids at school, whats the answer. the only issue i have regarding last night was the amount of litter in the theatre when show ended! Is it that dificult for the public to take their mess and put is numerous bins in theatre? Totally disrespectful.
Whats going on at the cafe? Cheap chairs uneven legged tables. Not inviting at all. To the rich peeps that own this buisness,GET A RE~FIT. You surely take enough profits to buy tables and chairs that dont wobble. Or is the public that causes the wobble at the ticket prices!!!!
