“Top food as always”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

4 of us had dinner on a monday night in early November using Living Social deal vouchers.
The restaurant was faily busy - nice atmosphere. A warm welcome and a glass of wine (included in the deal) set us off to a good start.
The five course meal was very good with decent choices for starter, main and dessert.
The food is attractively presented - not too fussy - and cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their choces. The service was excellent and attentive. All staff were very friendly.
Despite this high quality we would have found the meal expensive if we had been paying the full price - at the deal price it was very good value.

“Great Dinner at Juniper”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Having been to Juniper a few years back and had a good meal, thought we would take friends this weekend. We all found lots of things on the menu to choose from which was good. Starters and drinks came quickly and both were very good. Crabs cakes were delicious as were the goats cheese. Mains followed in a good time, everything was hot and all agreed very tasty and well cooked. The venison pie was lovely as was the pork and lamb. We all had desserts as well and overall an excellent meal. Groupon 25% off voucher made this a great value meal for what we had and we will be back.

“Fine, but not to my taste.”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

I found the quality of the food to be good (the meat for example was high quality and cooked well) but the flavour combinations weren't for me, everything had a kind of bland, sweet taste owing to unnessecary glazes and sauces. They'd be better off using just fresh herbs and solid spice combinations when required and letting the ingredients speak for themselves.

I personally would not pay (I didn't have a Groupon...) full price for a meal from these guys again however I'm sure someone like my Mum, who's very conservative on the food front, would really enjoy it. As mentioned from other reviewers, the decor could also definitely do with an update!

“Really disappointed”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

Just got back from our meal and am really underwhelmed. Supposed to be a special meal out but just disappointed. No atmosphere, really average food and totally forgettable.

“Disappointed”

Luckily had voucher so value would have been good, however felt sick after main course (fish) consequently couldn't face any more food. Wouldn't return.
