There isn't a lot of joy in a premier inn week away. But being able to get out there and try something different is one of them.
I love a curry, but i love a curry more when there is something different and it's done with love.
Firstly I eat on my own a lot with work and you can be made to feel like a leper, but the concierge didn't wince and in fact despite the restaurant being busy for a Tuesday night, he had no hesitation in moving me two a four table.
The service was great, discreet but always there.
The popadoms indicated this was going to be good. The chutneys were hand made and thoughtful a promising start
The starter was good (chicken thighs), big but so far I was wondering about the fuss.
The main was out of this world a lamb shank, a delicate layer of flavours that hovered above the palate before layering the gentle spices lovingly across the and around the mouth
A real find
