“Only one night, but very pleasant”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Stayed here for just one night, to attend a Conference which was also based in the hotel. great staff, all very pleasant and efficient. Conference room well set up, with bottled water to hand, sweets, pencils, paper etc. Room very well appointed, all very clean and pleasant. Buffet lunch provided with good range and choice, as was the breakfast.
Plan to visit Bristol again in 2014 for the 'Balloon festival' and would definately consider staying here, very well situated for all attractions.

Visited 21 September 2013 - Stayed for 1 night. Doors banging and people talking in corridors outside rooms till early hours. Came to get a good nights sleep with my wife after a long trip down to drop my son at uni, the good nights sleep didn't happen. Also charged for the luxury of parking my car for the night £12. Letting your guest know the charges up front would be a little more honest.

Room was tired.Tiny bottle of shower gel not really enough for two guests. Tea and coffee in room, one cup of coffee per person seemed a little tight.

Breakfast included in room rate but was definitely not worth the extra £20 cost, The Breakfast, toast machine not working hot breakfast was cold and self service buffet had run out of a few items of the limited choice available.

Very dissappointing. Zowie Osborne Guest Services Manager.

Your offer of a free bottle of wine and upgrade to a junior suite when we return whilst the recent visit is so fresh in our minds seems a little optimistic.

Luckily we chose not to dine in the hotel but had a great meal in Bristol new Down town leisure area which I will be visiting again.

Room Tip: Ask if room is near lifts or in central location as no sound proofing to doors will mean a very dist...

Stayed here 1 night for business and all I can say is 'wow'. This is the best hotel I have stayed in when visiting Bristol so far and I've stayed in a lot (Radisson, Hilton etc). Check in was quick and nice gentleman behind the desk. The room was absolutely huge!! Not sure if this was the room I booked or if I was kindly upgraded but the room was just magnificent. Georgeous bath in the bathroom which itself was very big. Bed was comfy, got such a goods nights sleep I didn't want to get up for breakfast. Room service was also great, fish and chips were to restaurant standards and the lady who served me was very polite. Breakfast was great, nice big selection of the usual but also had things like waffles, babybels and cereal bars. The view from the room was lovely, on to a nice big tree in the courtyard. Check out was also quick and easy and the man behind the desk (a different one from check in but equally polite) asked if I needed a taxi booked. All in all an absolutely wonderful stay. I've yet to stay in the same hotel in Bristol twice but this is the first one I'll be returning to.

Great stay, no complains whatsoever. Stayed for a weekend break; appreciated the fact that parking and (tiny, but good enough) swimming pool were available in the hotel. The only flaw that I would mention are the pillows (quite uncomfortable) and the tiny shower gel provided. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back.

stayed in this hotel for a conference and then stayed on for an extra night to explore Bristol. Hotel was lovely great facilities and a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was large but a little hard for me. The only complaint i had were the pillows were cheap and nylon so i ended up with a bit of a neck ache.Bathroom was clean and spacious and the bath was fantastic. I will book again soon as i would like to try the spa facilities.

Room Tip: Upgrade for not much more

Next time you stay please ask for foam pillows and we will happily provide them for you! (the earlier you request the better by the way as they are very popular!) Also, we are having all of our beds replaced so perhaps by the time you visit us again you will get to try them out!
Thank you for your lovely review.

Stayed for one night only. Arrived early and the staff were very accommodating in providing a speedy check in.

Rooms of a very high standard and overlooking a central courtyard occupied by a beautiful tree - most unusual for a city centre hotel.

Breakfast was delicious and while a buffet the food tasted freshly cooked. Would recommend the local speciality breads and jams offered .

Gym a little small but fine for a quick work out. Pool similar .

Will most certainly stay again on next visit to Bristol.
