I have stayed in the Premier Inn, King Street on a number of occasions now with work and won't again. The noise level in certain areas of the hotel is bad with music from surrounding pubs often very loud until well after midnight. That said, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have also stayed in a number of other hotels in the area around where this Premier Inn is and their air conditioning works and they have adequate noise insulation.

We just stayed for 1 night on the way to a holiday in Torquay & went to see Evita at the hippodrome. This hotel provided everything you expect from Premier Inn - massive king size bed, spacious room, quick easy check-in/out and good value meals at the adjoining pub/restaurant. Our room overlooked the cider barge & quayside so was slightly noisy but no worse than any other city centre hotel. Parking close by in NCP car park & discount if you get the ticket verified by reception.

As we were coming from Bermuda, I researched Bristol to find the area which was the heart of the old city - and I found the Premier Inn Hotel. I googled a map of the area and found the Old Vic, the cobbled streets, and the old "refurbished" docks. And then I googled a reasonably priced hotel ( we usually stay in a Barcello Hotel).
Booking.com teased me with some wonderful rates which I never could get!!, but nevertheless I still managed to get a very fair price.
And, I wasn't disappointed - the area was quite wonderful and as an added bonus, the hotel was also very close - walking distance 10 minutes to the Centre of the City ( and not just the heart of Old Bristol). We enjoyed dining on one of the moored boats ( excellent food and value) and we loved the maze of little alleys of the bustling St Nicholas Market.
We so appreciated the Premier Innl, as we were moving on to London ,we tried to book a Premier Inn there -but with no luck unfortunately - they were all booked up because of Wimbledon ( and our last minute booking!)

Room Tip: my room faced the front of the hotel and was quiet

Arrived for a overnight stop and a quick look at Bristol after dropping the kids off at Glastonbury. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room, 312 was clean, tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately it was very hot even though it had air conditioning. The room never dropped below 27C all night which was unbearable. Mentioned it on booking out the folllowing day and they apologised, said there were issues with the air conditioning and honoured their Good Night Guarantee. The food is served in the Olde Worlde pub in the next street which has a connecting door to the hotel. Food and service was good. The hotel has no car park, but there is an NCP one just along the road, which the hotel can give a 15% discount on. Other than the unfortunate air conditioning, it was a pleasurable stay in a hotel that is well located within walking distance of the harbour front and old Bristol.

Used the £29 a night offer from Premier Inn website. Expected a standard budget hotel, with flaws that would be expected for price. Instead got a room I would normally have paid £80 a night for! Large room, and bathroom, all spotless, huge king-size bed (which was very comfortable), freeview tv channels, tea and coffee etc. This might be normal for all Premier Inns. However, at this particular location we were so close to everything, our room overlooked the quayside, and the staff were so friendly and helpful I was surprised - it seemed very genuine. We would definitely come back, this place made our weekend very easy (late entry with our own key was helpful, and they even gave us an umbrella when it was raining!). The £29 price tag definitely helped, but I would have paid more now I know what it is like there.

Room Tip: Rooms facing quay are v.lovely but SLIGHTLY noisy
