“Nice studio, very kind staff”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We spent two nights in a self catering studio in Bristol. It was really clean and tidy. All comfort was here, we even had a balcony overlooking the park. Bathroom is large and modern.
The bed was comfortable and the TV huge (for a hotel room).
Location is really great too.
Stephen, our host, was really kind and helpful (he phoned to warn us we had forgotten a toothbrush charger). Before arrival, he sent us a text to know our arrival time. Although it is very nice, I did not like the "compulsory" check-in between 3 and 6pm. In our case, it worked out fine but when traveling, you cannot guarantee you can make it before 8pm. To me, the wifi is far too expensive.

I made a block booking for a business trip and ended up dealing with the ops manager directly who was extremely helpful in getting our payment and amendments made for us. Before we arrived Jane was very attentive and made sure we were able to collect our keys even though we arrived slightly late and checked via phone on us over the weekend. Apartments were very clean, bright and modern with everything we needed and was really warm and quiet - we slept soundly for two nights. Location was perfect for our work which was based around Cabot Circus - we were 1 minute's walk away. Ideal, would definitely book again.

This was our second 2 night visit to Bristol, having stayed at the Premier Inn last week. Both visits necessary for eye treatments. The self catering studio apartment made a nice change from a hotel. We always like to have a look around and find an unusual restaurant, so hotel facilities are usually wasted on us. Anyway, the apartment was clean modern and functional, as well as being centrally located. It was a bit impersonal and could do with more kitchen equipment and some basics like salt and pepper.
Very good value however, and just right for us.

Having never stayed in a serviced apartment overnight before, we weren't sure what to expect. We needn't have worried - this was a really good experience. Stephen, the concierge, was a real star and the apartment itself was absolutely fine. Great value for money which we would recommend and use again.

I've really enjoyed staying in actityabove in Bristol. It is very central - just round the corner from Cabot Circus with many restaurants, sight seeing and city centre stuff only a few minutes walk away. Birstol is a lovely place and the people are very welcoming and friendly. The apartments are well provided and the block is secure and contains a lift. They are spacious, light and airy for one beds. Each apartment has it's own combi boiler supplying hot water or gas central heating on demand. The apartment we stayed in had a lovely ktichen area moving into a living room with a good sized tv. Cooking facitities included microwave, gas hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher - everything you would need. The staff are very friendly and even provided a travel cot for us. Overall, I would highly recommend acityabode and had an excellent stay in Bristol.
